Bakkers Cookies was founded back in 1955, when Grandpa Bakker immigrated to California from Holland after World War II with only a guilder in his pocket and a dream to make the best cookies in America! He wanted to continue baking the same delicious cookies he loved growing up in his father’s cafeteria as a boy. These old world recipes received the coveted stamp of approval from the Queen of Holland! Grandpa Bakker passed his love of baking on to his sons, who run the cookie business today. Fifty years later, Grandpa still loves working his recipes to come up with just the right taste for his customers. And with the fifth generation of Bakkers now working in the cookie business, it’s no wonder customers keep coming back for the BEST bakery fresh goodies on earth! We know you’ll enjoy them too!
